In the process of looking for ways to add something more organic and natural to my basement I started investigating combining plant life with a computer. I wanted to create something that blended tech and organic into one, while at the same time utilizing the byproducts of the technology as a way to assist in growth of the organic. I took a bunch of old discarded computers from the trash that people had thrown away and used the parts from them to create a working computer. Within this computer I built a soil containment system for the plants. The computer is fully functional running both Windows and Linux, and the waste heat generated is used to heat the soil to aid in germination and growth of the wheatgrass.
